Dear Region 12ers,
The opening date to submit nomination forms for the 2021 Administrator of the Year and Every Student Succeeding awards was August 1. Nominations may be submitted any time from now until the deadline of January 14, 2021 at 11:59 PM PST. These submissions go to a State ACSA website, not our region, and there is NO leeway on missing a deadline.
FYI, the region still selects final recipients. State ACSA is just the repository for nominations forms which the region selections committee accesses. Also, one change for 2021 is that ALL supporting docs submitted must be in PDF form (letters of recommendation, transcripts etc.).
Summary information can be viewed by clicking on the “AoY Synopsis” button below. Clicking on the “State ACSA AoY website” button will take you directly to more detailed information, including a download site for specific nominations forms. You will note there is a video tutorial available for those of you who are first-time nominators.
Technical questions should be directed to Region Consultant Bill Olinger at email@example.com General questions may be addressed either to the Consultant or to Region 12’s Past President, Carlos Cerna, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Reminders of our region “Academy Awards” program will be sent to all ad nauseam as time goes on.
High School Scholarships for children/grandchildren of Region 12 ACSA members are not due until March and more info will be sent when we move into 2021.
Two awards categories are NOT sent to the State ACSA website. These are the Every Student Succeeding (ESS) award and Region 12’s own Wilson Grace award. The ESS form however is on the state website with others. Please contact our Consultant at email@example.com to receive the W.G. nomination form which cannot be downloaded from this site’s format.
At this time our tentative date for the Region 12 Spring Celebration, where we honor our administrators of the year, our chosen Every Student Succeeding student, and our high school scholarships recipients is set for May 10 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Ontario(the former Red Lion Inn) if COVID-19 restrictions are lifted by then.
