In case you missed it, the AEO announced clarification on AB 130. The news is good for adult education programs offering Independent Study for adults.
The following is taken from the September 1 CAEP Newsletter:
“The Adult Education Office (AEO) has received clarifying information related to Assembly Bill (AB) 130 Education finance: education omnibus budget trailer bill which made changes to the requirements for Independent Study programs. The clarification from the Department of Finance and the state administration is that the intent of the Legislature was NOT to require these changes for Independent Study for Adult Education programs or Adults in Correctional Facilities (AICF).”
