Questioning Strategies that Lead to Deeper Learning, Part 2: Diving Deep into Text-Dependent Questions

Teachers use questions to check students’ understanding, but questions that go beyond simple comprehension help students apply newly learned content in ways that will lead to deeper learning. In this second online workshop of the series, participants will learn about the reasons for using text-dependent questions (TDQs), identify TDQs, and discuss classroom activities that encourage learners to ask questions. This is the second of two interactive online workshops. Part 1 is scheduled for Fri., November 6. It is strongly recommended that participants have completed Part 1 before taking Part 2. Separate registration is required for each workshop.
