Provides an introduction the basics of Open Educational Resources (OERs). Discover how Open Educational Resources (OERs) can be the answer to drive students to register for courses and help them persist in class – all while teachers get practical resources to use in their courses. Participants will get an introduction to the basics of OERs, what are they, how they can be found, and how to attribute these resources. Working together with the facilitator, you will practice developing search strategies, how to modify and refine your strategy, identify open licensed materials, looking at OER repositories and a brief introduction to a few tools to manage your new resources.
Prerequisites: Basic computer and Internet skills. Must have an email address.
