Microsoft: Easy Projects 2 – PPT & Excel
February 24, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm PST
“Microsoft: Easy Projects” is a progressive series that will show instructors some easy, simple, project based activities using Microsoft Office Suite. The sessions are intended to be presented in parts where each builds upon the previous. Participant will be encouraged to attend the entire series (three parts) to receive the full benefit. Projects using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint serve the dual purpose of language practice (writing and speaking) and learning basic functions of common software programs in use at home, school, and the workplace.
This workshop is one part of series. This session will cover Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel and will be the primary focus.
Participants will be shown simple project-based activities for language practice and learning using PowerPoint and Excel. Projects using these Microsoft apps can serve the dual purpose of language practice (writing and speaking) and learning basic functions of common software programs in use at home, school, and the workplace. All activities presented are adaptable for all levels and slides or handouts are provided at the end of each session.
Prerequisites: All participants must have basic computer skills, be able to open and have some exposure to Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel. All who attend should know their login information or be able to access (open) their own Microsoft apps.
OTAN workshops may be requested, customized, and scheduled by qualifying adult education agencies for their staff as targeted professional development.
OTAN workshops may be conducted as a “hands-on”, where participants are asked to provide their own devices, as “presentations” where a product or ideas are introduced, or as a discussion where all are encouraged to participate in a conversation around a specific idea or topic.
The desired outcome of every OTAN workshop is that participants will have a working understanding of the application or topics discussed and modeled.
