Google Sheets is an online spreadsheet app that is used directly in a web browser – no special software is required. Formulas as simple as adding two cells or as complex as completing sums with IF statements can be used to calculate, find, or count specific data.
Paired with Forms as the data collector, Sheets can sort, filter, or make data standout. Sheets can be used for attendance, filtering grades, creating schedules and much more!
This hands-on workshop will start with a brief overview of Forms followed by a dive into Sheets where attendees will use simple filters as well as queries, complete simple and custom conditional formatting, and create and build basic to complex functions (aka formulas).
Sheet starter-kits will be given to all that attend.
Prerequisites:
Those that have never used Sheets before are still welcome to attend and watch the magic.
This session may be requested, customized, and scheduled as a workshop or presentation by qualifying adult education agencies for their staff as targeted professional development
OTAN workshops are conducted as “hands-on” sessions, where participants are asked to provide their own devices and follow along with the trainer – questions are answered throughout. An OTAN presentation is more geared towards a “show and tell” where questions are answered during or after the presentation.
The desired outcome of every OTAN session is that participants will have a working understanding of the application or topics discussed and modeled.
