Canvas Basics

This 2 hour, virtual training is designed to help adult education teachers and staff get comfortable using Canvas for daily instruction and communication. Whether you’re new to the platform or need a refresher, this session will walk you through the basic tools you need to build and manage a Canvas course.

You’ll learn how to organize course materials, post assignments, and communicate with students. The training includes hands-on practice and time for questions, so you can apply what you learn right away.

Creating a home page
Understanding the difference and when to use pages vs assignments
Creating modules and adding pages or assignments
