Adult Dual Enrollment – Advancing Opportunities for Adult Learners

Since the adoption of Senate Bill 554 in 2019, an adult student pursuing a high school diploma or a high school equivalency certificate in California is authorized to enroll as a special part-time student at a community college. While some adult education consortia have implemented SB 554, there has not yet been a state-wide research effort to map implementation. This webinar will highlight lessons learned from adult education providers and community colleges who have promoted adult dual enrollment — or who have explored adult dual enrollment and run into barriers — in order to inform expanded use of the approach statewide.
